One great scene is the montage of Silky’s past. With the help of techniques, such as rotating angles of a camera and sunlight going through windows, it is quite a cozy scene. It highly contrasts with the rest of the visuals in the entire episode to show that the changes in darker and chaotic visuals characterize the life and death dichotomy which stays at the back of this story.
And then there’s the action. Oh, the action! Momo and Okarun versus Silky is one of those masterclass choreographies where every movement melts into the next. It’s more like a dance than a fight; that’s some justice done to Silky’s background.
Emotional Gut Punches and Unexpected Twists
Just when you thought you had everything figured out, Dandadan throws another curveball your way. It’s shocking and heart-wrenching when you discover Aira Shiratori, a self-proclaimed beauty queen, is connected to Silky in some way. There’s also the dialogue—or rather, the absence of it. Most of Silky’s history is actually seen through visuals and music. Kikuko Inoue does pretty much a subtle world of feelings through vocal expressions and movements. It’s a daring move that largely pays off, making every emotional moment hit harder in the episode.
